This policy explains what information EBikeServiceFinder receives through its website and forms, how submissions are processed, and how information is handled when contributing to the directory.

Information You Submit

Most of EBikeServiceFinder can be browsed without submitting personal information or creating an account.

If you use one of our forms, we receive the information you choose to provide. Depending on the form, this may include:

  • Shop or business names and locations.
  • Business website and published service-policy URLs.
  • Descriptions of e-bike repair policies or corrections.
  • Information supplied when claiming a directory listing.
  • Your email address, if you choose to provide it.
  • Messages and additional information included in a submission.

Some form fields are required to process a submission. Optional fields can be left blank.

Forms and Storage

How Form Submissions Are Processed

Website forms send their submitted information as JSON to our form-processing service:

The submission service uses a Cloudflare Worker. Submitted information is processed and stored through the Cloudflare infrastructure used by that service.

Each submission includes its site identifier, form type, originating page, submitted fields, and a honeypot anti-spam field.

Submissions Are Not Automatically Published

All submissions are reviewed before publication. Sending a suggestion, correction, claim, or contact request does not automatically create or change a public directory listing.

Shop suggestions and policy corrections are reviewed against the shop's own published information. Only qualifying, source-supported information may be added to the public directory.

Contact information supplied with a submission is not intended to become part of a public shop listing.

How We Use Information

Why We Collect Submitted Information

Information submitted through the website may be used to:

  • Review suggestions for new e-bike repair shops.
  • Verify published mechanical and electrical service policies.
  • Evaluate corrections to existing directory records.
  • Review listing claims and business information.
  • Respond to contact requests when contact details are provided.
  • Protect forms against automated spam submissions.

We do not treat a submitted claim or suggestion as independent evidence that a shop provides a particular service. Published shop information remains the required source for directory classifications.

Website Infrastructure

Hosting and Technical Information

EBikeServiceFinder is a static website hosted through Cloudflare Pages. Its forms use a separate Cloudflare Worker for submission processing.

Cloudflare may process technical information associated with delivering website pages, handling requests, and protecting its infrastructure. Such processing is subject to the applicable Cloudflare services and privacy policies.

The website is built without third-party analytics or tracking scripts at launch. Advertising code is not included in the initial website build.

Reserved advertising spaces may be added to pages without loading advertising content. If advertising services are introduced later, this policy will be updated to describe the relevant practices.

Information Sharing

When Information May Be Shared

We use Cloudflare services to host the website and process its forms. Information submitted through those services is handled as part of providing the directory and its submission functionality.

Business information may appear publicly when a shop listing is independently reviewed and approved for publication.

Information you provide for private contact or submission purposes is not intentionally displayed as part of a public business listing.

We do not publish submitter email addresses as directory listing information.

Your Choices

Providing Information Is Your Choice

You can browse the directory without submitting a shop suggestion, correction, claim, or contact request.

Optional fields are identified on individual forms. You can choose whether to provide an email address when a form makes it optional.

If you need to ask about information you previously submitted, use the contact page and describe the relevant submission.

Directory listings may link to repair shops' websites and published service-policy pages. These websites are operated independently of EBikeServiceFinder.

When you follow an external link, the destination website's own privacy policy and practices apply. We are not responsible for how external websites collect or process information.
