Understand the Difference

Mechanical vs. Electrical Repairs

Mechanical Work

Mechanical repairs involve bicycle components such as brakes, tires, wheels, chains, and shifting. Acceptance of these repairs does not establish that a shop will work on electrical components.

Electrical Work

Electrical work may involve motors, batteries, controllers, displays, and wiring. Brand-specific restrictions can apply even when a shop accepts other e-bike repairs.

These descriptions explain the directory's service categories. They do not establish the capabilities or policies of any particular repair shop.
